Description
There are many kinds of Chinese style illustration, ‘Guochao’ is one of them. ‘Guochao’ means based on the Chinese traditional culture, adding some modern fashion elements. It is also the illustration style mainly introduced in this course.

This course is divided into four parts (total 11 lessons).
Part 1: The foundation of ‘Guochao’ illustration.
Starting from the basics of photoshop, then from lines to sketches, color theory and other sections needed for painting to gradually help you master the composition, color matching and drawing techniques of ‘Guochao’ illustrations. After those basic courses, you will be well prepared for the the next part and can easily deal with various difficulties.
Part 2: A simple ‘Guochao’ illustration creation.
Under my guidance, you will create a ‘Guochao’ painting through some simple elements, and get familiar with different combinations of characters, animals and plants in a Chinese traditional way.
Part 3: A Complete ‘Guochao’ illustration creation.
I will lead you to create a complete ‘Guochao’ painting of Mid-Atumn Festival by using a great deal of complicated elements. After this part, you can try creating your own ‘Guochao’ paintings by any other themes and elements.
Part 4: Create a ‘Guochao’ illustration by Christmas theme.
In this part, I will show you how to create a ‘Guochao’ painting by Christmas theme. It is really amazing and deserve sharing with your family and friends.

Though I just started the first lesson, it's a very good lesson to follow, easy to understanding. I like it.
I think at an intermediate level this course is an excellent resource that benefits the viewers and their intentions. It does bring a brand-new style to me. I never heard Guochao before, there're so many Chinese elements that really appeals to me. The most comfortable is that he explains every detail as he draws and sketches, this is really nice.
